Prior to downloading and installing the N3 COT files, you must install the "Overpaint" files into your layout. dat file. Part of the paintjob for the rear side spoilers will be lost if you don't use the "Overpaint" files. The "Overpaint" files will allow you to extend the paintjob out past it's normal limits. The (normally) black marks that show up in d3d mode on car paintjobs will now be light yellow marks. You will now be able to extend the paintjob out one or two pixels in those areas to almost completely eliminate all marks on the car. I expect that there may be pre-overpainted car files for this body made in the future, and if you don't use the "Overpaint" files, you can lose all the overpainting and once again have paintjobs with black marks in d3d mode. Also do not use the car mask.sel as it will also remove all benefits of overpainting. Painters might wish to make slightly bigger templates so that there would be no need for overpainting. The "Overpaint" files will allow you to import these bigger templates or overpainted paintjobs into the game. Don't be afraid to use the "Overpaint" files since the download comes with a little .bat file to re-install the layout.dat's original files. Back up your current layout.dat file if you already have custom made detail shop and/or underbody shop screens.
